Melva Holt, C.P.C. Consultant and Executive Coach

Melva Holt is a seasoned consultant and coach with the conviction that leaders are trained, not born. With 20 years of experience as a corporate HR leader, Melva has had the opportunity to train, coach, and partner with hundreds of leaders to improve their efficiency and influence. She teaches leaders how to thrive through change, diffuse conflict, and empower teammates to accomplish great things.

EXPERIENCE

  • Partners with organizations to help solve key talent development gaps within organizations
  • Collaborates with clients to drastically increase their overall leadership effectiveness by using the latest concepts and strategies to build vulnerability, authenticity, honesty, consistency, and competency
  • Develops tailored coaching programs that give clients insights into their unique leadership abilities, target performance gaps, and provide solutions to behavioral change

IMPACT

  • Oversaw and was a key influencer of culture building activities through a period of significant change.
  • Developed a high-potential leadership program for a Fortune 500 company focused on preparing leaders for promotion to VP level.
  • Introduced a framework for developing a personalized leadership brand and learning how to flex leadership styles within this brand that improved decision-making skills and confidence.
  • Coached a client who was promoted within three months of the first engagement, taking on the functional head position within the company. This promotion led to increased responsibility with a larger team and more areas of focus as well as a strategic thought leader role within the executive team.
  • Implemented a new succession planning process for a multi-function enterprise. This included developing and providing training, templates, communication plans, and action planning for critical talent identification and development. The leadership pipeline significantly increased including the promotion of the first four women leaders within the sales organization in the first year.

Melva currently serves as a member of the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Alumni Association Board. She resides in the Atlanta area with her husband of 17+ years and 3 beautiful and very active children. In her free time, she loves movies, beaches and is on a never-ending quest of finding the best foodie spots. Melva has been incredibly involved with her local Girl Scouts of America troop and Girls Taking Action (formerly Girls in Action) over the years, and she has previously volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers Big Sisters, United Way, Junior Achievement, Catholic Charities, and various other programs.
